Thanksgiving Day here in the US marks a day of food, football, and giving of thanks. It also marks the start of the holiday season. Or the crazy season as I sometimes like to call it because everyone seems to go nuts about stuff – mainly shopping. But I digress from today’s topic.

Today’s topic is about Thanksgiving and reflecting back on what we’re thankful for in our lives. Here’s a list of what I’m thankful for:

  • My family. I couldn’t have asked for a better one, and just like my job, things aren’t always perfect but that’s life. I’ve been blessed with a wonderful wife who supports me and kids that are great.
  • My job. Too many people are still out of work and I feel fortunate to be employed full-time and in the same town as my family. Things aren’t perfect where I work, but when looking at the bigger picture, they could certainly be far worse.
  • My health. Mine isn’t perfect, and I’m still struggling with my weight, but I know folks who are much worse off than I am in this department.

That’s a short list but I think it’s to the point. Everything else is just icing on the cake in my opinion.

What are you thankful for this year?

P.S. – I’m going to try and not eat too much today but no promises.
