Got the New Bike Cleaned Up

Today I spent a few hours cleaning up my new bike and have some pics to show you below. I was really blown away by how clean it came and, again, stunned by how good a shape it’s in.

I also had one of my Dallas readers, Cliff, loan me a trainer today so that I can start riding right away and be able to train when the weather is inclement. Thanks Cliff.

Very nice! You can come clean my bike anytime.

I'm a very neat/tidy person and like things clean. I think it's a carryover from 16 years in the military and expecting things to be immaculate. If it wasn't so cold yesterday, and I had proper tools, I would have popped off the chain, cogs, and rings to really give'em a wash.

I appreciate that. This thing cleaned up so nice that I still can't believe it's mine.

If I ever make it down to Austin (I want to make a trip just to go to Mellow Johnny's) then I'll have to setup something with my readers down there.

      Thanks.

Nice looking ride Bryan! The Allez was one of my finalists 2 yrs ago. I really liked it. Just liked another bike better. Those rings can be replaced individually…well, anything can. Now your in a real nice ride. The wheelset alone will be faster on acceleration and at holding speed. I can't wait to hear how it rides the road. I think you are in for a really enjoyable year with 100's of miles. Oh – Happy New Year – Daveydave in Boston!

    • bdewberry

Thanks Dave and Happy New Year to you too. I'm really excited about the bike and am eager to get out on the road when the weather cooperates. I started riding the trainer yesterday in order to ease my sit bones back into it.

Looks really great when its all cleaned up :D Thats one thing I've never been a master of… keeping my bike nice and shiny, it was always dirty lol.

    • bdewberry

Thanks Joey. I'll be doing a couple of posts in the future about simple post-ride cleanups and regular cleanups.
