While this blog wasn’t created to help me quit my day job, retire at the age of 40, and send the kids away to private school, in order to adopt a lifestyle of cycling every moment possible, it does, occasionally, generate a small bit of income or an incentive or two.

Back on December 1, 2009 the FTC required that bloggers provide disclosures whenever there was a possibility of hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations.

To make things easier, we bloggers now have these fancy Disclosures pages where we make a blanket statement about the blog vice having to mention in every article that there might have been some kind of personal or financial gain.

Here’s my statement:
