Day 1 recovery – no problems

Posted by on Apr 22, 2008 in Blog, Uncategorized | 4 comments

Going along with my plan to slowly ease into it, today was a planned rest day.  I feel much better than I expected to with no noticeable effects from the ride yesterday.  I had no soreness whatsoever except for a little in my neck later in the day.    All-in-all not bad.  As I ride more this week I expect it to get worse.

I do feel “better” today.  Is it psychological?  Maybe.

Bryan, Looks like you've got the makings of an interesting blog. I'll be watching to see how quickly you build your mileage, endurance, and health. Good luck!

@Ray: Thanks for the kind comment and well wishes. I saw your blog earlier and have it marked to re-visit.

    Bryan,

Just found this site through bicycling.com and one of your posts. Just wanted to say good luck. This looks like it will be a great blog.

Keep up the work! I was able to drop 25 lbs from July to November of last year. I took a break during winter, held off the weight and now I'm riding again (due to good weather.) Another 10lbs came off over the last 6 weeks.

The toughest part was to start, and then start feeling good again. I know you are on your way.

I'm not sure if you are up to it, but I'd love to see stats. I wish i had kept all my ride stats from last year.

    All the best!

    Dave

@Daveydave: Thanks for visiting and the nice comments. Congratulations on your weight loss and keeping it off.

Your stats suggestion is a good one and I'm working on it. I've got a spreadsheet in the works where I'll be recording various pieces of information (mileage, average speed, time, weight, various measurements, etc.). Once I start to develop some kind of history I'll start posting a "Stat Update" every month.
