Biking To Live now has its theme

After some tedious searching Biking To Live now has its theme. I always have a hard time deciding on a theme for a blog because I want it to be just right. That’s hard to do when you’re using a free theme though. For Biking To Live I wanted something that wasn’t too dark and not too bright. I also wanted it to be easy to navigate, soothing to the eyes, and easy for me to add functionality to. After some careful consideration, I settled on the Notebook theme I found at Skinpress. I wanted a biking related them but there just weren’t any. If Biking To Live becomes popular I may have a custom theme commissioned. I think the Notebook theme is appropriate though since this blog will serve as my journal (journey?) to a new me.

Nice theme and a nice blog. It is hard to select a theme that is just right, isn't it? Looks like you made a good choice.

I couldn't find a theme that was just right for myself, and ended up doing a few tiny changes to the original WordPress theme.

(My blog needed something that would display wider images okay)

My wife and I are a couple of newbie bikers, in the 50+ age group. Our bike blog is at http://www.bike.smackdab.us and uses b2Evolution instead of WordPress, as my main blog does.

@SmackDab: Thanks for the compliment and comment. It is hard to select the right theme. They all have advantages and disadvantages and unless you heavily mod a free theme, or commission a custom theme, you can't get exactly what you want. Fortunately I'm comfortable editing the code and making adjustments as needed. Thanks for the link to your blog, I'll check it out. I've heard good things about b2Evolution.
